This macramé Sycamore tapestry was inspired by the peeling, layered textures of the Sycamore trees I would pass on my long walks through the Avenues. During one of the most difficult seasons of my life, those walks became a ritual of survival. The quiet streets, the shifting light through the branches, and especially the mottled bark of the sycamores offered me something steady to hold onto.
 
There was something about those trees — their resilience, the way their bark sheds and renews — that felt symbolic. Even in heaviness, they stood tall and beautiful. They brought me peace when I needed it most, and this piece carries that memory within it. It is both grounding and gentle, a reflection of finding steadiness in the natural world.
 
Sycamore measures 17 inches in width and 60 inches in length and hangs on a naturally shed deer antler. The macramé is created with natural cotton rope, carefully layered to echo the organic textures and movement of sycamore bark.
 
This hanging is a reminder that even in the hardest chapters, there are places that hold us.
