Ya know how sometimes you really wanna throw on a wedding dress and gaze off of a cliff?
Me neither. But looking at pictures of someone else in a wedding dress on a cliff? I'm always down for that.
This styled photo shoot took place at Zions National Park (one of my favorite places) with some of my favorite people! I could go to Zions every weekend for the rest of forever and still fall in love each time.
Sam Hobson AKA @saammwiches modeled for this shoot and she is the dopest human I have ever met. Sam's vibe combined with Katie's well delivered aesthetic made for a pretty timeless gallery.
I want to point out two particularly interesting details in this shoot that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Doesn't the cake blend in perfectly with the earthy theme of this shoot? The original plan for the cake was to add a floral arrangement to it that complimented the color scheme. But when the floral arrangement didn't make it to the shoot, event planner guru Katie Bushell, improvised with grass and other natural elements already present at the shoot! (Insert heart-eyed-emoji here haha) And of course the completely organic decor tied into the color scheme perfectly.
So Sams veil is actually the first ever macrame veil. Kinda cool right? I feel like it creates a boho vibe that you don't quite get from any other head piece. I was actually inspired to make a macrame veil by Dani Hagmeister's designer headpiece company, Danani. She creates wedding veils and hair jewelry for anyone looking for something truly unique. I realized I had never seen a macrame headpiece before so I thought I'd give it a try! Not so humbling admitting I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Haha.
Anywaaaaaay. Check out the adventurous photos in this new gallery! And can we talk about how Sam is standing on freaking cliff in a floor length gown? Queen.
