Excerpt from the Michelle Leo Events blog on this shoot:

"Inspired by the colors and textures found in both Morocco and the Mediterranean, this bohemian-desert bridal brunch is the perfect way to celebrate your upcoming "I Do." The food and drinks boasted bright, beautiful colors and an array of spices. From orange blossom and mint lemonade, to a cucumber roll and humus with pita bread, everything tasted just as amazing as it looked. The low, white-wash table, surrounded by various rugs and pillows created the perfect intimate setting. The tabletop decor featured copper flatware, chargers, and "glassware," along with a navy linen napkin and terracotta-inspired bowls with an intricate blue design on the inside. We finished off the look with a handmade macrame table runner, fresh, colorful blooms, and mini cacti as a favor."

This bohemian-desert bridal brunch designed by Michelle Leo Events was everything I could ask for and more to participate in for my first major photo shoot. I can't accurately describe how it feels to be published for the first time in a magazine. I suppose hope is an accurate word for it. Running this small business by myself has been an emotional roller coaster to say the least. It's not uncommon to feel defeated and stuck in a creative rut one day to feeling on top of the world when you get a single order, a nice comment from someone, or a major creative inspiration the next day. It's a never-ending cycle but, it is so, so worth it. When I am included in events like this photo shoot for RMB, it gives me hope that I am capable of reaching my goals and expanding my creative boundaries. I feel so grateful to have been asked to be a part of this and for the unique pieces Michelle Leo inspires me to make. When I see the Rocky Mountain Bride magazine sitting on our coffee table, it reminds me what I am capable of and to not give up.

You'll never know what you can accomplish unless you never give up, so keep working away fellow makers. And thank you for allowing me to be a  part of the supportive makers movement community.

Sappy-ish post over. Now look at the pretty pictures!
